Ischemia/reperfusion (I/R) is a pathological process that occurs in numerous organs and is often associated with severe cellular damage and death. Ectodysplasin-A2 receptor (EDA2R) is a member of the TNF receptor family that has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects. However, to the best of our knowledge, its role in the progression of myocardial I/R injury remains unclear.
